The Mathematics Department at Highline College offers a variety of classes for those seeking to become mathematicians, scientists, or engineers as well as those seeking just to enrich their lives or complete requirements for other degrees. Program Map: Associate in Arts DTA - Math

We offer several different math plus classes to help you complete your quantitative skills requirement faster. These classes give you extra support to complete a college-level math course in one quarter.

MATHP 107 – Math in Society Plus Extra Support
- This class is designed for students pursuing liberal arts, humanities, and general education.
- This class is typically offered every Spring Quarter.
MATHP 111 – College Algebra Plus Extra Support
- This class is designed for students pursuing business, social sciences, and general education.
- This course is intended to satisfy many four-year schools’ requirements for a College Algebra course.
- This class is typically offered during the Fall and Winter Quarters.
MATHP 141 – Precalculus I Plus Extra Support
- This class is designed for students pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM).
- Well-qualified students should have taken Intermediate algebra within the last year.
- This class is typically offered in Fall and Spring Quarters. Below are the most beneficial courses for students.
MATHP 146 – Introduction to Statistics Plus Extra Support
- This class is designed for students pursuing social science, business, and nursing.
- This class is typically offered every quarter including Summer.
