Art, Design & Communication Pathway

Communication that inspires, entertains and informs is a key skill that employers want in this competitive economy and increasingly diverse society. Our courses guide you to articulate your voice and worldview through cultural competency, advocacy and critical thinking across a variety of mediums: speaking, writing, languages, music, art and design.

 Business, Hospitality & Tourism Pathway

A focus in business opens possibilities in all areas of global operations and administration, from finance and technology to sustainable management in areas such as tourism, the environment, and agriculture. Successful learners in this pathway gain transferable skills through coursework and experience in accounting and finance, economics, entrepreneurship, hospitality, nonprofit organizations, sales and marketing, emerging technology, social media management, sustainability, international tourism destination management, and more!

  ELCAP – English Language, Career and Academic Prep Pathway

The English Language, Career and Academic Prep (ELCAP) Department at Highline College offers courses in English language skills in reading, writing, listening, speaking, study skills, math, and technology. ELCAP prepares students to be college and career ready by fostering a pursuit of life-long learning, innovative thinking, problem-solving, cultural responsiveness, and contributions to the community.

 Exploratory Pathway

Where can college take you? What career is best suited to your abilities and passions? In this pathway, you will explore your options, identify your own strengths and needs, and learn about potential careers and funding options for college.

From there, we’ll help you identify your degree and career goals. This pathway will provide you with a sense of place at Highline College in your first 30 college credits and help you develop a career goal while taking common courses that lead to your transfer or professional technical degree.
